Indonesia-based warehousing services provider Waresix has secured $14.5m in a series A round that featured Sinar Mas Digital Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of diversified conglomerate Sinar Mas, TechCrunch reported on Friday.
Venture capital firm East Ventures’ EV Growth fund led the round, investing alongside Jungle Ventures.
Waresix provides software that allows users to find and book ready-to-rent warehouses and freight services through its fleet of more than 20,000 trucks and more than 200 warehouse partners across the country.
They money will allow Waresix to grow its transport services and bolster its warehouse capacity.
East Ventures and Monk’s Hill Ventures led the company’s $1.6m pre-series A round in October 2018, investing alongside Sinar Mas Digital Ventures and Triputra Group. That round came eight months after Waresix received an undisclosed amount of seed capital from East Ventures in February the same year.
