Wearable Intelligence, a US-based producer of software for wearable hardware such as Google Glass, has raised $7.9m, in a round featuring Google Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of internet company Google.
The technology company aims to raise a total of $8.4m from the round, according to an SEC filing.
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, Initialized Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and venture fund Subtraction Capital also making contributions.
Wearable Intelligence claims its technology can display data presentation and clinical data in real time to be used with Google Glass. It’s software is currently being used by the healthcare and energy sectors.
