Electronics manufacturer Xiaomi and video game developer MiHoYo have participated in a RMB400m ($62.8m) series B round for China-based gaming software developer Well-Link, DealStreetAsia reported yesterday.
Venture capital fund Future Capital led the round with participation from VC firm Shunwei Capital and CDH Venture and Growth Capital, a subsidiary of alternative asset manager CDH Investments.
Founded in 2019, Well-Link provides cloud computing architecture and audio and video technology to support cloud gaming platforms. Proceeds from the round will go toward strengthening its digital platform, virtual server and software capabilities.
Xiaomi, MiHoYo and Shunwei Capital had previously taken part in a $24m round for the company in April this year alongside mobile game publisher CMGE, Before Capital and Sea of Stars Capital.
