Landit, the US-based operator of a career development platform aimed at women and diverse groups, collected $13m on Tuesday in a series A round led by co-working space operator WeWork.
The round included Workday Ventures, the corporate venturing vehicle formed by enterprise human resources and finance management software provider Workday, as well as Valo Ventures and Gingerbread Capital.
Financial services firm Morgan Stanley also participated in the round, as did Cue Ball Capital, XFund, Female Founders Fund, Uprising Investor Fund, Costanoa Ventures, Yard Ventures, Wavemaker Partners, Connectivity Partners, Sofia Fund and several private investors.
Landit’s platform provides what it calls a personalised playbook that offers each member tools, resources and human connections to help build their careers.
The platform’s services include links to relevant job opportunities, a personal board of advisers, coaching tips, skill development and career mapping tools, as well as information on how to build a personal brand.
Veresh Sita, WeWork’s global head of strategic consulting, will join Landit’s board of directors following the round.
Sita said: “At WeWork, we see leaders across industries increasingly faced with the challenge of attracting, supporting and retaining top talent in today’s ever-changing workforce.
“Through its innovative platform that empowers diverse communities to succeed in their careers and the workplace, Landit plays a key role in helping enterprises meet this challenge head-on.”
