Business services provider and investment firm Colosseum Group has provided Rs 720m ($10.2m) in series B funding for employee transportation services provider WhistleDrive, the Economic Times has reported.
Founded in 2016, WhistleDrive provides businesses with shuttle bus services as well as fleets that are guided by its artificial intelligence-equipped software, which helps tailor routes so they are more efficient. It also allows employees to track the progress of the vehicles through an app.
The company runs more than 700 fleets across the cities of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, and the series B cash will support an expansion into two more cities: Pune and Delhi-NCR. It had reportedly already received $720,000 from Colessum in April 2018.
