Grant Brown, former corporate venture capital lead at US natural gas infrastructure provider Williams, has moved to 8090 Industries, a clean energy investment firm.
Brown spent several years working at Williams, most recently heading the corporate’s business development group, New Energy Ventures, which focused on commercialising clean energy technologies. Williams now operates a corporate venture capital programme that invests in energy startups and venture funds.
Brown was also a fellow at Greentown Labs, a US climate tech startup incubator, until this month.
Brown will be an investor at 8090 Industries, which backs companies working on industrial decarbonisation. Startups in its portfolio include Oklo, a developer of micro-scale reactors; Infinium, a maker of electrofuels for heavy transportation; and Circ, a recycler of textile waste.
