WorkFusion processes $35m series D

US-based automation technology developer WorkFusion has completed a $35m series D round that included Nokia Growth Partners (NGP), communications technology provider Nokia’s corporate venture capital vehicle.

Growth equity firm Georgian Partners led the round, which also featured Mohr Davidow Ventures, iNovia Capital, Greycroft and RTP Ventures, and which increased WorkFusion’s overall funding to $71m.

WorkFusion provides intelligent automation technology that enables companies to digitise their business processes, taking care of manual back-office tasks and using artificial intelligence-equipped chatbots for customer service.

Max Yankelevich, CEO of WorkFusion, said: “We offer true machine learning that’s been collecting data and getting smarter over time, and our customers in banking, insurance, financial services and healthcare have already enjoyed an impressive [return on investment].

“As automation moves into an era of widespread adoption, this investment will further advance our solutions so customers can meet any challenge to come.”

NGP previously invested in WorkFusion as part of a $14m series C round alongside Mohr Davidow Ventures, Greycroft, iNovia and RTP Ventures at the end of 2015 that reportedly valued the company at $84m.
