Media communications company WPP has made a follow-up investment in China-based advertising company InGameAd (IGA), with telecommunications conglomerate Singtel’s corporate venturing unit Singtel Innov8 also participating in the series B round.
The round also saw participation from investment firm Revolution Capital. WPP previously invested in IGA in 2008, acquiring 12.8% of the stock and 55% of the series A preferred stock, Revolution’s venture capital division acquiring the remaining 45%.
The investment is one of many WPP has made in China, which has become WPP’s fourth largest market. WPP’s revenues in China total over $1bn with revenue gained from the digital market over $200m.
