US-based payment platform developer Wrapbook secured $27m in series A funding yesterday from a consortium including consumer technology holding company WndrCo.
Venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, Equal Ventures and Uncork Capital also participated in the round, alongside angel investor Michael Ovitz.
Wrapbook has created a mobile application that manages the payment of film production crews in addition to employee onboarding, timecards, payroll and insurance. It said the amount of payments the platform has processed has increased sevenfold in the past year.
The company had previously raised $3.6m in an August 2020 seed round led by Equal Ventures and backed by Uncork Capital and Steve Sarowitz, the founder and chairman of human resources software provider Paylocity.
