China-based online education company Xingshuai Teach has raised $30m in a series B round featuring Legend Capital, the corporate venturing arm of conglomerate Legend Holdings, 36kr reported yesterday.
Venture capital firm Northern Light Venture Capital also took part in the round.
Xingshuai offers online courses that teach users how to use software. The company initially began in 2008 as a website assisting users of Photoshop, but has since expanded to 32 courses both online and app-based, on subjects ranging from graphics to video and design.
The company, which reportedly plans to go public in 2016, has targeted RMB 1bn ($162m) in revenue foir 2014, after earning approximately RMB 1m in 2012 and RMB 10m in 2013.
