Yoon Choi, a US-based senior manager at the corporate venturing unit of South Korea-based technology conglomerate, has left to join the mergers and acquisitions group at US-based semiconductor company Maxim.
Choi said in an e-mail she would be focussing on strategic investments. She leaves Samsung after eight years at the company.
She added: "Samsung has pushed me to be better in many ways, but beyond any professional growth, the most important thing I take away are the personal relationships. The people at Samsung, our portfolio companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capital and corporate venture capital are what makes it great."
Choi said her work at Maxim would be focused on strategic mergers and acquisitions and venture investment.
