Your.MD, the UK-based creator of a mobile app that connects users to medical information, has closed a $10m funding round backed by Orkla Ventures, a strategic investment arm of consumer goods supplier Orkla.
Smedvig Capital, the venture capital firm that led Your.MD’s $5m seed round in July 2015, also took part in the round, along with undisclosed existing shareholders.
Founded in Norway in 2014, Your.MD combines artificial intelligence with links to medical professionals in order to provide users with personalised health information.
The funding will help roll out the company’s OneStop Health platform and support ambitions to expand its commercial partnerships from 35 health services to more than 100 by the end of 2017.
