China-based game development technology provider Sandbox Network has received RMB100m ($14.5m) in a series B round co-led by social media platform YY and venture capital fund Engage Capital.
VC firm Guojin Capital said it also took part in the round, according to a statement on its WeChat account.
Founded in 2015, Sandbox Network has created an online platform with more than 10 million users that allows them to develop their own games.
The capital will support the expansion of Sandbox’s team as well as strengthening international marketing and research and development.
Sandbox had previously secured an eight-figure renminbi amount in an August 2018 series A round featuring Guojin Capital and game publisher iDreamSky.
