ZenBusiness closes $15m series A

US-based startup services provider ZenBusiness has completed a $15m series A backed by Recruit Strategic Partners, the corporate venturing arm of human resources services firm Recruit Holdings.

The round was led by Greycroft and also featured fellow venture capital firms Lerer Hippeau and Interlock Partners, VC fund Rosecliff Venture Partners and investment firm Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund.

Founded in 2015 as StartUp App, ZenBusiness offers subscription-based services that help startups file documentation to incorporate their businesses and also provides access to guidance and enterprise services from affiliate partners.

The series A cash will help the company expand operations and build out its platform through additions including community-oriented features.

Lerer Hippeau led the company’s $4.5m seed round in February 2018 with the backing of Greycroft, Slow Ventures, Rise of the Rest, Founders Fund and, according to TechCrunch, assorted angel investors. It had previously received $25,000 in 2016, according to a regulatory filing.
