ZenPayroll, a US-based, cloud-based payroll solutions provider for small businesses, raised a $20m series A round of financing in February from venture capital firms General Catalyst Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), taking its total funding to date to $26.1m. ZenPayroll previously raised a $6.1m seed funding round in April 2012 from the CEOs of Yelp, Box, Dropbox, Yammer and others, as well as Google Ventures and Salesforce.
ZenPayroll will use the funding to accelerate growth, expand coverage to new geographies and grow its team.
ZenPayroll launched publicly in December 2012, and currently is processing over $400m in annual payroll for small businesses.
