US-based on-demand valet parking service Zirx closed $6.4m in series A financing from venture capital firms Norwest Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures on Friday.
Zirx users choose from a location on a map where they can meet a trained Zirx agent who will park their car for them in a secure storage facility, allowing them to avoid the hassles of finding a parking space themselves.
Sergio Monsalve from Norwest Venture Partners, which is backed by financial services firm Wells Fargo, and Ajay Chopra from Trinity Ventures were appointed to Zirx’s board in conjunction with the financing.
Zirx, which was formed earlier this year, will use the capital to expand outwards from its home city of San Francisco across the US.
