BII managing director Pankaj Makkar was quoted by the Economic Times as saying: “I am happy to have Rohit at my side as partner while we build the next cycle of our investing business. He has been instrumental in finding great companies which will be unicorns of tomorrow.”
Sood added: “My journey at BII over the last decade has been an immensely enriching experience. The privilege of backing and working with some of the best entrepreneurs in the country is surreal and humbling.
“My sincere thanks to Bertelsmann, our partner investors and, most importantly, all the entrepreneurs that I have interacted with, for contributing immensely to this journey. I very much look forward to continuing in the same vein over the coming decades.”
