Tiffany Huang, senior associate at Japan-listed electronics company Sony’s corporate venturing unit, has joined venture capital firm Translink Capital.
Huang had spent nearly five years at Sony Innovation Fund (SIF) and its Innovation Growth Ventures fund backing startups across tech sectors.
At Translink, she said: “I will mostly be on the affiliate fund [for Japan-based tech company NEC,] so still in the CVC space.”
In December, NEC launched an investment vehicle called Orchestrating Future Fund and planned to raise $150m for the fund from external limited partners by end-June. NEC had not previously been disclosed Translink would be the manager of the fund rather than its corporate venturing unit, NEC Capital Solutions, which oversees Innovative Venture Fund and CSV Venture Fund.
