Enterprise content management company Everteam has acquired US-based cloud enterprise software provider Intalio for an undisclosed amount, providing an exit to Sapphire Ventures, the venture firm spun out of enterprise software producer SAP.
Founded in 1999, Intalio has built a range of tools that companies can use to build cloud business applications.
France-based Everteam will use the deal to open a US office in Intalio’s Boston headquarters and intends to make use of the company’s sales, marketing, support and development infrastructure.
Intalio had raised approximately $40m between 2004 and 2014, according to regulatory filings, while funding information platform Crunchbase states that it had secured $20m prior to those rounds. Virtualisation software company VMware invested an undisclosed sum in 2011.
An earlier press release reveals Intalio’s early investors were SAP Ventures, the Sapphire predecessor that was then directly operated by SAP, as well as Woodside Fund, 3i, XML Fund and Sippl MacDonald Ventures.
