Striim integrates Atlantic Bridge into $30m series B

US-based data integration and analytics technology provider Striim increased the size of a series B round featuring Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of semiconductor technology producer Intel, to $30m yesterday.

Intel Capital led the initial $20m tranche, which was closed in September 2015 and backed by venture capital firms Summit Partners and Panorama Point Partners, and angel investors Regis McKenna and Frank Caufield, the latter of which is a co-founder of VC firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

VC fund Atlantic Bridge Capital provided the additional $10m, and Kevin Dillon, general partner at Atlantic Bridge, will join Striim’s board as an observer.

Striim, founded in 2012 as WebAction, produces software that enables enterprises to aggregate and correlate data streams from multiple sources, allowing them to identify anomalies and trends, and trigger alerts in real time.

The funding will be used to push forward what Striim called an aggressive go-to-market strategy, and to further develop its platform across cloud, software-as-a-service and internet of things applications.

Striim had previously raised $11m in a 2013 series A round that included McKenna and Caufield.
