Presidio Ventures, a corporate venturing subsidiary of conglomerate Sumitomo, has led a $6.2m series B round for enterprise software developer Workspot that took its total funding to more than $13m.
The round, which achieved a $5m first close in July 2015, included Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of mobile chip producer Qualcomm, as well as Follow the Seed, Helion Ventures, Translink Capital and Western Technology Investment.
Workspot provides software that helps enterprises securely deliver data, apps and desktops to mobile and desktop platforms.
Qualcomm Ventures, Translink and Helion had previously provided $6.5m in series A funding for Workspot in mid-2014, just over a year after it closed a $1.9m seed round backed by Norwest Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Redpoint Ventures.
