AnyPerk to benefit from $8.5m series A

US-based employee benefit service operator AnyPerk has raised $8.5m in a series A round led by venture capital firm DCM Ventures that included internet company Digital Garage, TechCrunch reported today.

AnyPerk has created a platform that enables smaller companies and startups to offer perks to their staff in the form of preferred pricing for goods and services. The round boosted AnyPerk’s overall funding to $13m.

The $4.5m of seed funding was provided between 2012 and 2014 by Digital Garage, internet services company CyberAgent, Vegas Tech Fund, VaynerRSE, Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Y Combinator, Funders Club and several angel investors.

The cash will be used to build out an app that can automatically inform employees of perks at times when they could be useful. AnyPerk is also looking to add a feature that would allow cash bonuses to be given through the platform.
