AssureRx reads minds for $11m

AssureRx Health, a US-based company that helps doctors pick drugs for psychiatric patients, has raised $11m in its series B round in order to start marketing its GeneSightRx product.

Corporate venturing units from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Mayo Clinic and CincyTech reinvested in AssureRx in a B round led by venture capital firms Claremont Creek Ventures and Sequoia Capital and joined by peer Allos Ventures.

AssureRx’s personalized medicine platform is based on technology from the Mayo Clinic and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

The first round closed in March 2008 at an undisclosed size from Queen City Angels (lead), CincyTech USA, the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, Blue Chip Venture Company, Cincinnati Children’s Tomorrow Fund and individual investors.
