Astute Networks, a US-based provider cloud computing services, has raised $12m in its series B round from a consortium including south Korea-based conglomerate Samsung’s corporate venturing unit.
Alongside Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, which led the round, were venture capital firms Ayala Capital, ICCP Venture Partners, The Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF), Tallwood Venture Capital and Narra Venture Capital.
Steve Topper, chief executive of Astute, said: “Samsung Ventures leading this round of funding is a most welcome endorsement of our patented DataPump Engine and Networked Performance Flash intellectual property.”
