Design software producer Autodesk has disclosed the first three investments from the fund launched to support its Forge cloud services platform.
The firm’s three newest portfolio companies are drone technology provider 3D Robotics, which is using Forge to build its data capture and analytics platforms; US-headquartered online manufacturing platform MakeTime and internet-of-things technology developer Seebo.
Autodesk formed the $100m fund in December 2015 to invest in startups that can help it grow a cloud-connected design ecosystem. It announced the investments at cloud development event Forge DevCon, alongside several new features for Forge.
