Axa Venture Partners, an investment vehicle for insurance firm Axa, led a $15m series C round for US-based employee training software provider Lessonly on Friday.
Customer service software producer Zendesk also took part in the round, as did Allos Ventures, Atlas Peak Capital, Rethink Education and The Yard Ventures.
Lessonly has created an online training platform that enables enterprises to compile learning and practice scenarios to help workers learn new skills. It raised the series C funding as it prepares to launch a new product called Assess later this year.
Allos Ventures led a $1.1m seed round for Lessonly in 2014 that included undisclosed angel investors, before it added $5m in a 2016 series A that was led by OpenView and backed by Allos Ventures and High Alpha Capital.
The company received $8m the following year in a series B round also led by OpenView, which invested together with Rethink Education, High Alpha Capital, and Allos Ventures.
