US-based last-mile delivery services provider AxleHire secured $20m yesterday in a series B round that included e-commerce logistics provider Quiet Logistics.
The round was led by venture capital firm Ajax Strategies and also featured Eclipse Ventures, Bee Partners and Acorn Pacific Ventures. Ajax Strategies partner Milo Werner is taking a board seat at AxelHire along with Eugene Gorab of Greenfield Partners and Matt Mulvey from Eclipse Ventures.
AxleHire combines artificial intelligence algorithms and a network of sorting hubs to offer a reliable same or next-day e-commerce delivery service on behalf of its corporate clients.
Eclipse Ventures led an $11m series A round for the company in May 2019 that included Bee Partners and Acorn Pacific Ventures. It followed $4.3m from investors including Acorn Pacific and R/GA Ventures, the investment arm of advertising firm R/GA, in 2017.
