Shriram Bhashyam, the co-founder of online share-trading marketplace EquityZen, has taken an entrepreneur-in-residence position at Citi Ventures, the strategic investment arm of US-based financial services firm Citi.
Bhashyam was head of business development and general counsel for EquityZen from its formation in 2013 until April 2018 when he moved to chief strategy officer, before taking on an advisory role in March this year.
Citi Ventures’ entrepreneur-in-residence activities take place within its D10X Innovation initiative, where the entrepreneurs coach Citi employees looking to create solutions to problems that could form the basis for new startup companies.
Bhashyam said in a statement posted on his LinkedIn page: “While moving on from EquityZen, the company I co-founded, was bittersweet, I am thrilled about the next chapter.
“I am grateful for my journey at EquityZen and the incredibly talented teammates from whom I learned. I wish the EZ team continued success and look forward to helping them in the small ways I can.”
