Israel-based health monitoring technology developer Binah.ai has secured $13.5m in a series B round that included insurance firm Sompo International, Globes reported yesterday.
Venture capital fund Maverick Ventures Israel led a round that also featured Esplanade Ventures, Global IoT Technology Ventures and iAngels, which Globes described as an existing investor.
Binah has built a mobile app that can monitor signs of a user’s health using video taken by their mobile device combined with signal processing and artificial intelligence technology. The cash will be used to enhance sales and marketing in addition to meeting demand for the product.
David Maman, co-founder and chief executive of Binah, was quoted by Globes saying: “We are poised more than ever to fulfil our vision and mission as we look forward to releasing more capabilities than ever before achieved – reinforcing our investors’ and customers’ trust.”
