Bit-isle, Simplex, Movida test waters in $4m Shift deal

Japan-based Bit-isle, an IT and internet data company, has made a strategic investment in Japan software testing company Shift as part of a $4m (JPY402m) fundraising. Japan venture capital firm Movida Capital, Draper Nexus Venture Partners, a venture capital firm leveraging US-Japan opportunities, and existing backer Simplex Holdings, a Japan financial systems company, also invested.

The latest funding round brings Shift’s fundraising total to $4.6m, according to a report by AltAssets.

The funding was raised to expand its software testing business services and to provide more services to its existing client base.
