BizReach employs Yahoo Japan for $32.8m series B

Japan-based online recruitment platform BizReach has raised ¥3.73bn ($32.8m) in a series B round led by YJ Capital, the corporate venturing arm of internet company Yahoo Japan, The Bridge reported today.

YJ Capital, which invested approximately $14.1m in the round, was joined by investors including online media company Gree, consulting firm Link and Motivation and e-commerce firm Rakuten, as well as enterprise software producer Salesforce.com and digital marketing firm Dentsu, which took part through their Salesforce Ventures and Dentsu Digital Holdings units.

The round was filled out by Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Investment, which acts as a subsidiary of financial services firm Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings, EFU Investment, East Ventures and IMJ Investment Partners.

Founded in 2009, BizReach operates an online employment search engine and job listing platform, and will use the funding to further develop its offering.

The company disclosed the round alongside news of the imminent launch of a hiring management platform called HRMOS and an applicant tracking system. It previously raised ¥200m from investment firm Jafco in 2010.
