China-based photo messaging app Blink has raised $20m in a series A round featuring internet portal Tencent, Techweb has reported.
Venture capital firms Sequoia Capital and H Capital, seed investment firm ZhenFund, and incubator Innovation Works were also involved in the round.
Blink, which is operated by Beijing Shijie Hexin Network Technology, is an app through which users can send and edit pictures and videos. It should not be confused with the US-based start-up of the same name, which created a self-destructing photo messaging app before being acquired by Yahoo in may this year.
The app, which is available in both Chinese and English versions on iOS and Android, launched in April and Blink claims it has around 200,000 active users.
Tencent was also an investor in the $80m series C round raised by US-based photo messaging app Snapchat in June 2013.
