Michael Boshammer and Oliver Fietz are set to take over as managing directors of T-Venture, the venture capital subsidiary of telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom.
Boshammer is currently a fund manager at T-Venture, working on core telecom investments, and will focus on investments in the telecom, IT and intelligent networks sector. He will also be responsible for special investments in selected portfolio companies.
Boshammer began his career at T-Ventures as an investment director of the T-Mobile Venture Fund. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant at IT consultancy Detecon International.
Fietz will concentrate on investments in digital services and on special investments. Before taking on the new role, Fietz helped establish the T-Corporate Venture Fund, working there as a fund manager where he oversaw investments in emerging markets and early-stage companies.
Boshammer and Fietz will replace Patrick Meisberger, who has decided to leave his role as MD and chief operating officer of T-Venture after 10 years to pursue opportunities outside Deutsche Telekom.
The company did not state whether the role of Katharina Hollander, a managing director of T-Venture as well as its chief financial officer, would be affected.
