Brown Shoe Company steps into Jack Erwin

US-based men’s handmade footwear brand Jack Erwin has received $9m in series B funding from investors including footwear brand Brown Shoe Company.

Venture capital firms Crosslink Capital, Shasta Ventures and Fundersguild also took part in the round, which followed a $2m series A round in April funded by Crosslink, Shasta and Menlo Ventures..

Jack Erwin makes luxurious brown shoes for men for under $200, which are delivered directly to customers. The funding will be used to continue to expand the company’s operations.

“We are thrilled to be working with the incredible team at Brown Shoe Company,” said Ariel Nelson, co-founder of Jack Erwin. “This investment provides us with the unique opportunity to build Jack Erwin using the knowledge and expertise of such a respected industry leader.”
