Marissa Campise, formerly a venture capital investor for telecommunications and internet group SoftBank, is seeking up to $50m from limited partners for a VC fund called Rucker Park, Fortune has reported.
Campise joined Japan-based SoftBank’s US-headquartered early-stage investment fund, SoftBank Capital, as a partner in 2014 after three years as a vice-president at VC firm Venrock.
SoftBank decided in mid-2015 to wind down SoftBank Capital in order to focus on a smaller number of later-stage investments, at which point Campise transitioned to a direct investment role for the corporate. She left in June 2016, according to LinkedIn.
Campise declined to provide additional information on New York-based Rucker Park, such as which areas it plans to invest or any of the fund’s portfolio companies, to Fortune, citing securities laws.
