Srinivas Chakravarthy, deputy general manager of group business development at India-based phone operator Bharti enterprises for the past two years, has left to join corporate venturing unit Capital18.
Capital18 is an investment firm making minority and majority investments in technology, entertainment and media, primarily in India, as an affiliate of media conglomerate Network18.
Chakravarthy had been looking at investments in technology and telecoms at Bharti, including its corporate venturing unit Airtel Innovation Fund, which had been closed last year.
The closure had seen Amit Yadav, manager of the Airtel fund, leave in October to join Indian industrial group Religare as a vice-president of group mergers and acquisitions.
