Chef, formerly known as Opscode, a US-based IT automation company which “transforms IT infrastructure into code”, has closed a $32m series D funding round led by venture capital firm Scale Venture Partners (ScaleVP) and including Citi Ventures, Citi’s corporate venturing arm, as well as existing investors Battery Ventures, DFJ, and Ignition Partners, and also Amplify Partners.
The funding will be used to accelerate the development of the company’s IT automation platform and expand market penetration.Rory O’Driscoll, a partner with ScaleVP, has joined the company’s board of directors.
