Mark Christensen, a former executive at Intel Capital, the corporate venturing division of semiconductor company Intel, has joined the board of Virtensys, a UK-based provider of equipment for data centres.
Christensen spent 23 years at Intel, including managing Intel Capital’s investments in mobile devices and communications infrastructure, before leaving in 2005 and being a director at Pixelworks and Fabrinet.
Virtensys raised $16m in its series C round from three Europe-based venture capital firms in August last year and $40m in aggregate since its launch four years ago.
