Cinemacraft, a US and Japan-based media startup whose videogram product breaks down videos into multiple thumbnail clips, has raised $1.5m from Japan-based mobile communication company NTT Docomo, Turner Broadcasting’s Media Camp (the startup accelerator which Cinemacraft attended during the summer, run by Turner Broadcasting Systems, a US-based television broadcaster which is part of the Time Warner group of companies) and venture capital seed fund 500 Startups.
Previously, Cinemacraft raised over $900,000 in seed funding across two rounds, the second led by existing investor 500 Startups, The company was founded in Tokyo, Japan in July 2012.
