Cinemacraft Secures $775,000 in Funding

Japan and US-based online media monetisation platform, Cinemacraft, has secured $775,000 from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation and US television personality and fashion icon, Tyra Banks.

Previously, Cinemacraft  took part inTurner’s Media Camp, a media startup accelerator, in 2013. Cinemacraft has secured total funding of $3m, to present. In 2012, it acquired seed funding from 500Startups and other angel investors. Following this, it raised an additional $1.5m in 2013 from NTT DoCoMo and 500Startups.

Cinemacraft’s services include content discovery, marketing and monetisation and social media engagement. It has two flagship products – Videogram and Qixshr – that cater to publishers’ video and photo necessities.

Cinemacraft currently has offices in Tokyo, Los Angeles, Seoul, and Mumbai. It has recently started operations in India and is aggressively promoting its products with the hopes of tapping into bigger markets.

Additionally, the company aims to improve its existing platform to enrich user experience. Rahul Golecha, VP, Engineering, said: “We are iterating the platform and our B2B clients can expect to see more immersive social features as well as gamification of Videogram.”

Cinemacraft was founded in June 2012.
