US-based technology company Citrix is expanding its early stage innovators programme to Bangalore, in the first step of a planned global expansion.
Devon Crews, part of the leadership team at the Citrix Start-up Accelerator, said 10 to 12 teams would be selected from among the entrepreneurial applicants, Citrix corporate product teams and corporate partners. The programme will launch in the fourth quarter of 2014 in Bangalore and Raleigh as part of a planned wider global expansion.
Crews said the programme was “a first of its kind, because it is blending design thinking, lean start-up practices and mobile workspace technologies. This programme combines our core innovation practices and technical expertise with cutting edge design and lean start-up practices.”
The programme has seen participation from senior executives at global corporations such as Robert Bosch, AMD, SVB, Coca-Cola and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Crews said: ”Many corporations are partnering with us to learn how to meaningfully integrate our unique approaches for innovation and venturing into the early stages of product design and corporate development.”
