Palerra, a US-based developer of cloud security automation technology, completed a $17m series B round yesterday featuring Norwest Venture Partners, the venture capital firm funded by bank Wells Fargo.
Participants also included VC firm August Capital, which led the round, Wing Venture Capital and Engineering Capital. Norwest and Wing both took part in Palerra’s $8m series A round in February 2014.
Founded in 2013, Palerra has developed a cloud cybersecurity platform for businesses called LORIC that incorporates security configuration management, threat detection, predictive analytics and automated incident response.
The series B capital will go towards boosting Palerra’s sales and marketing, and enhancing LORIC’s capabilities.
