Content Fleet quick to B round

Two of Germany’s largest corporate venturing units have teamed up to invest $3.5m in local web analysis service Content Fleet’s series B round.

Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI) and T-Venture, Deutsche Telekom’s corporate venturing, invested alongside venture capital fund Neuhaus Partners, which had backed Content Fleet since last year division of technology service provider Getanet.

Content Fleet uses an analysis system to automatically identify new themes and trends on the internet and its clients include phone operator Deutsche Telekom and media groups Bertelsmann and Axel Springer.

Jan Borgstädt, head of European ventures at BDMI, said: "Behind Content Fleet stands not only a good team but also an experienced circle of investors."

Ralf Bauman, who is responsible for Deutsche Telekom’s T-Online portal, added: "Content Fleet is a competent and pro-active business partner with whom we can, in a very short space of time, launch new projects such as our themed verticals zuhause.de and wanted.de. The content, data and analysis provided by Content Fleet greatly complement the work of our editorial team."
