Crittercism, a US-based mobile application problem solver backed by the corporate venturing units of technology companies Google and AOL, has raised $12m in its series B round.
Google Ventures led the round, and was joined by venture capital firms Opus Capital and Shasta Ventures. Wesley Chan, general partner at Google Ventures, has joined Crittercism’s board.
In June, Crittercism raised $5.5m while in 2011 Crittercism raised an undisclosed sum from AOL Ventures and Google Ventures as well as venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Opus Capital and Shasta Ventures. Terms of the 2011 seed round were undisclosed, but news provider Xconomy said at the time the deal was worth between $1m and $2m.
The company came out of the AngelPad accelerator program, a start-up incubator set up by a group of ex-Google executives. Crittercism said it was now conducting a private beta of its Mobile App Network Management Solution.
