Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venture capital subsidiary of cloud computing company Salesforce.com, has exited US-based application development platform ManyWho in an acquisition of undisclosed size by computing hardware producer Dell.
Founded in 2013, ManyWho has built a cloud-based, low-code app development platform that helps businesses manage and automate workflow processes in an efficient way.
Salesfofce Ventures invested $310,000 in ManyWho in 2013, according to deals database CrunchBase, and Salesforce was confirmed as an investor in a press release announcing the acquisition. ManyWho also raised $970,000 in funding in 2014, according to a regulatory filing.
ManyWho will become part of Dell Boomi, Dell’s software integration subsidiary, and the firm said in a press release it plans to retain most of the ManyWho’s staff members and operations.
Chris McNabb, Boomi’s chief executive, said: “Without an on-premises legacy to manage, Boomi provides instant access to services with no installation, effortless and automatic software upgrades and crowd-sourced ease-of-use to achieve short time-to-value.
“Boomi plus ManyWho brings world class integration together with leading cloud workflow automation. This combination provides our customers with a connected workflow which is key to an efficient and differentiated business.”
