US-based LED lighting system developer Digital Lumens has secured $23m in a series C round led by Nokia Growth Partners, the corporate venturing unit of communications equipment maker Nokia.
Venture capital firms Aster Capital, Flybridge Capital Partners, Black Coral Capital, Stata Ventures and investment bank Goldman Sachs also contributed capital to the round
Digital Lumens supplies intelligent LED lightening solutions to commercial and industrial costumers. The funding will be used to expand its product development, increase sales and marketing, and scale the company’s operations as it looks to enter additional global markets.
Founded in 2008, Digital Lumens had raised $37.6m prior to the latest round, according to SEC filings and press reports.
