Anglo-American law firm DLA Piper’s corporate venturing unit has backed Consensus Point, a crowd-sourced prediction market technology company.
DLA Piper Venture Funds was joined in the round of undisclosed size by venture firm Relevance Capitals’ Nest-TN, as well as regional non-profit Tennessee Technology Development Corporation’s Incite Co-Investment Fund, and Golden Seeds, an angel network focused on women entrepreneurs.
Consensus provides Huunu, a research and media prediction market platform and last year raised nearly $800,000 of a planned $2.3m round, according to its regulatory filing.
