Electric Cloud, a US-based developer of production management software, has closed its series E round at $12m after raising an additional $4m to add to the $8m initially announced in September 2013.
Siemens Venture Capital, the corporate venturing unit for Germany-based industrial conglomerate Siemens, invested in the round together with venture capital firms US Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund, RRE Ventures and Rembrandt Venture Partners, all of which are existing backers.
Founded in 2002, Electric Cloud develops products that help software organisations to use virtual cloud infrastructures to increase developer productivity and bring their offerings to market more quickly. Electric Cloud’s SEC filings indicate that it had raised $22.2m prior to the latest round.
