FastCall411 gets up to speed

US-based sales automation and analytics company FastCall411 has secured an undisclosed amount of series B funding with start-up accelerator fund 500 Startups and angel investor Gerry Campbell. The funding was announced during FastCall411’s presentation at the Twilio Conference.

FastCall411 was previously a recipient of funding from the Twilio Fund, a microfund launched by 500 Startups, in September 2010, that invests $10,000 each in startups which use Twilio’s cloud communications platform.

FastCall’s funding came as part of the second group of startups to get financing from the fund, in March. Other recipients were crowdsourced labour platform WorkersNow, law enforcement communication technology firm Callyo, senior citizen voice messaging service MagnoliaPrime, customer service-aiding mobile application KnockKnock, romantic text messaging service Qwipd and phone service testing framework Volta.

The seven companies joined restaurant booking service Textaurant, food ordering service Order Mapper and phone call interface Voicendo, all of which were recipients in the initial round of funding in December 2010.

At the same time as FastCall411’s presentation, 500 Startups founder Dave McClure launched a second Twilio microfund and announced the lineup of startup companies competing for investment from the fund. The companies are: Remind101, CallMeMeeting, BlueFusion, TeenDriver, Mobonics and TalkDesk.
