Skyler Fernandes (pictured), founding managing director of Simon Ventures, the corporate venturing vehicle for US-based real estate developer Simon, has joined private equity and venture capital fund Cleveland Avenue.
Cleveland Avenue focuses on restaurants, food and beverage brands, and was founded by Don Thompson, a former CEO of fast-food chain McDonalds, in late 2015.
Fernandes, a Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist 100 winner in 2016, has become a managing director of investments at Cleveland Avenue. He left Simon in February, at which point managing director Natalie Hwang, who had been co-head of Simon Ventures since 2015, took the role solo.
